Find players by name

Use it when you have a name, or part of one, and need the player id for the other endpoints.

Parameters

namestringrequired: Full or partial name.
limitintegeroptional

Notes

Over MCP, ask for it in plain English and the client calls search_players itself. Point any MCP client at https://mcp.dunkapi.com/mcp?key=YOUR_API_KEY.
Each call costs 1 credit, taken before it runs and refunded if the server errors.
